Scout O’Gara is the definition of a modern professional woman – balancing the demands of excelling as a real estate expert with being a devoted wife and mother of two children, Aiden and Issie. Scout and her husband Sean, a prominent leader in the real estate industry in his own right, have lived in the Boise area since 1995. A graduate of Fresno State with dual degree’s in International Marketing and Enology (the scientific study of wine making), she’s earned the reputation of being one of the Treasure Valley’s most knowledgeable, trusted and respected realtors.
Scout’s early experience in the Boise-area real estate market includes working in escrow with First American Title, then expanding her industry knowledge into commercial real estate with Colliers International, and then re-directing and focusing her energies solely on residential real estate with Group One Sotheby’s Real Estate.
At Ralston Group, Scout specializes in residential real estate in Eagle, Meridian, and Boise. She has a Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation. A perfect fit for the ethos of Ralston Group, she’s invested in and passionate about each of her clients’ successes. In short, it’s not just “another transaction” with Scout, but personal and deeply meaningful. As someone who moved often growing up in a military family, her life experience has given her genuine empathy for the stressors of buying and selling a house, and above all understands the difference between a house and a creating a home. Clients universally use words like “knowledgeable”, “kind”, “patient”, “helpful”, “safe” and “stress-free” when describing their experience working with her. Scout enjoys a 90%+ referral-based business.
Scout is actively engaged in contributing to our community. She’s served as PTA President at Seven Oaks Elementary School and PTO President of Eagle Middle School. She now serves on the board of the West Ada Education Foundation. Scout co-founded the local chapter of Ride for Joy, a therapeutic horseback riding program for children with disabilities; and as a volunteer supported fund-raising activities for the Boise-area Dress for Success project – a program that promotes independence for economically disadvantaged women.
As passionate about life as she is helping clients realize their real estate goals, she loves raising her family in our Boise life-style, enjoys horses and golf, is an avid reader and international traveler, and speaks fluent Spanish.
