Alicia Ralston

After 14 years on corporate America’s fast-track, Alicia opted in 2004 to leave behind a management career in the environmental and construction industry and pursue her passion for real estate. Following her heart, she applied her education, business/life experience, and entrepreneurial aspirations, and designed and built Ralston Group Properties – a sustainable, high-integrity Idaho real estate brokerage that clients trust and value. Alicia enjoys an exclusively referral-based business indicative of the trust and confidence of Ralston Group clients.

A graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in Marketing and Communications, Alicia excelled in academics while enjoying a full ride scholarship as a student athlete. After graduation, she was recruited by Fluor Corporation, one of the largest, most respected engineering/construction firms in the world. There, Alicia took on many diverse and challenging assignments on several of the most technically complex environmental restoration projects in the US. With several of these assignments having life-cycle costs in the multi-billions of dollars, she developed a wealth of practical experience with responsibilities in strategic planning, project management, business administration and finance, marketing and communications – all foundational skill-sets for a real estate brokerage. Later, she was recruited to Boise-based Morrison Knudsen (later known as Washington Group International) where she played a key role in growing the environmental business to +$500M/year and leading/supporting many related strategic growth initiatives.

After transitioning from the corporate world, she entered the Boise real estate business.  She assimilated a lot of local market knowledge and rapidly earned a reputation as a high-integrity agent skilled in listening to and processing client information, astute negotiations, and understanding real estate finance and the transactional process – all while applying her strategic planning and project management abilities. In 2009, she obtained her Idaho Broker’s license, developed the concept and business plan, and after a substantial office re-model that led to a LEED Certification, founded Ralston Group Properties based in the iconic Veltex Building in downtown Boise.

Deeply committed to community both on a personal and professional level, Alicia has quietly supported many organizations ranging from Idaho’s Big Brother-Big Sister’s program, the US Green Building Council, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Alicia was the 2012 St. Jude’s Home Give-Away Realtor), and other local entities that provide food and shelter for the disadvantaged. She’s also an active proponent for local small business and downtown Boise planning initiatives.

Alicia has lived in the Boise valley for many years with husband David.  They enjoy the Idaho “work hard/play hard” lifestyle which includes spending time with family and friends, and being in the great outdoors while fly fishing, golfing, hiking and skiing. Their son Chris (living in Austin with their daughter-in-law Kristin, grandson Reilly, and granddog Shug) enjoys a thriving career in design.
