Jill Donahue epitomizes that which is best about Idaho and the real estate industry – deeply etched “small-town values” coupled with being the consummate real estate professional. Born and raised in beautiful Grangeville, Jill has served the Idaho housing and real estate markets for the past 30 years. Following in the footsteps of her brother and late Dad (both noted real estate leaders in Idaho County and throughout North Central Idaho), Jill has earned the reputation with clients and peers alike as one of the most competent, highest integrity, and trusted agents in the Treasure Valley. Prior to earning a B.S. in Business-Marketing from the University of Idaho in 1981, Jill was selected to intern for then-Secretary of the Interior Cecil D. Andrus (and four-term Idaho Governor). After graduation, she joined Idaho Power as an Energy Management Representative, conducting energy audits and helping ensure power delivery to our expanding housing market with builders and developers. Moving further into the housing industry, Jill worked for a national home inspection firm educating real estate agents on home inspections, and later served with a high-end residential re-modeling firm – all while raising a young family.
Obtaining her real estate license in 2003, she joined McLeod Realty, which later was acquired by Windermere Capital Group. In 2006, Jill affiliated with Group One Real Estate, where she very successfully grew her residential real estate practice based on tried and true principals of competency, honesty, reliability, and above all always guided by what’s in the best interests of the client. She’s advanced her real estate expertise by gaining her Associate Broker’s license in the State of Idaho and obtaining professional designations – Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI); Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE); and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES).
Jill’s specialty expertise tends to focus on serving clients interested in access to the Boise foothills trails system, our vibrant downtown area, and the river/greenbelt – essentially the Boise lifestyle! Her market knowledge and the trust she earns with clients and colleagues alike is evidenced by the fact that over her career 95% of her client-base is from referrals and repeat business and that families trust her to help their parents and children — she has worked with three generations in same families.
Jill is an avid reader, loves to garden, hike in the foothills, and spend time with family and friends in McCall. Jill has two adult children, Ben and Molly, and is lucky enough to be a grandmother. Active in many community initiatives, Jill is a volunteer at the Anne Frank Memorial through the Wassmuth Human Rights Center, served on the Board of the Learning Lab and United Cerebral Palsy, assisted her daughter in raising two puppies for the “Guide Dogs for the Blind” organization, and has long supported Boise’s public school system.
